The President of the Taqaddum Party, Mohammed al-Halbousi, together with his accompanying delegation, met on Thursday with the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region and Deputy President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Mr Masrour Barzani.
During the meeting the two sides stressed the need to strengthen ties and to widen the frameworks for cooperation and joint coordination between Iraq's political forces and parties, so as to face the various challenges and clear the obstacles of the moment.
Both sides also affirmed the importance of protecting Iraq's democratic and federal system, of supporting the federal government, and of contributing effectively to the success of Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi's steps in carrying out his government's programme — while stressing that the constitutional rights of every component be preserved, and that services be delivered to all Iraqis on a basis of justice and equality, without discrimination of any kind.
